AlfaCare - Engine Timing Belt

The timing belt is one of the most vital component of the engine as it connects the crankshaft to the camshaft, which in turn controls and synchronises the opening and closing of engine's valves. This synchronisation of the opening and closing of the valves allows for the fuel mixture to enter into the engine for combustion and the burned mixture to leave the combustion chambers at precise timings to ensure engine efficiency. Made of rubber with high-tensile fibres, the timing belt is exposed to wear-and-tear, as such, the regular maintenance and checks on the timing belt and its components are crucial to the well-being of your Alfa Romeo's engine.
