Selespeed is the sequential, clutch less transmission, with steering wheel controls that synchronizes gearshifts, avoids losing revs, and thus reduces the pause between one gear and the next, allowing the gearshift to be executed more fluently.
This gives you the thrills and benefits of never having to take your hands off the wheel, while constantly concentrating on the road ahead.To change gear, there are two paddles on the steering wheel - one on the right to move up through the gears, and another on the left to move down the gears. It comes complete with a joystick lever and an automatic 'city function' for driving in city traffic.

Automatic transmission becomes driving pleasure when the entire system interacts with the ABS control unit. The speed of each wheel, and whether the car is travelling on a bend or in a straight line, on a dry road surface or on a surface with poor grip, is analysed. The number of engine revs and the position of the accelerator pedal also reveals the driver's intention and driving style. generous engine, with a smooth power delivery, makes it respond promptly and easy to control.

The Sportronic system will choose the best behavior to suit the current status of the car and the style of the driver, after analysing the situation in real time.
With two operating logics, Sportronic allows the driver to switch between the completely automatic, assisted function, to the manual, sequential set-up. The completely automatic, sporting program is selected when the driver moves the gear lever to the special grille beside the automatic position.
The driver can opt to intervene at any time by moving the lever forwards to move up a gear, or backwards to move down a gear.

The V6 24V is all about power that will take you by surprise. The full power of this 6-cylinder engine is staggering, but so is its fluidity. Clearly designed for high performances, the V6 24 is decisive, fluid and solid at all speeds, making it the very top of its category.
Performance, precise engine rpm and torque control are optimised with the 6th overdrive gear, as the gear slots are closer together. A fitted double shock-absorbing flywheel, also helps to keep engine noise under control and increases the manoeuverability of the gearbox.

| TCT TRANSMISSION (TWIN CLUTCH TECHNOLOGY) |
Alfa's innovative new TCT gearbox is the latest automatic dual dry clutch 6-speed transmission.
This new device, conceptually, consists of two gearboxes in parallel. Each gearbox has its own dry clutch, allowing the selection and engagement of the subsequent gear while the previous one is still engaged. The gear is therefore changed with a simple gradual switch of the corresponding clutches, guaranteeing continuous torque delivery and traction. The result is a driving comfort and sporty feeling well above those offered by conventional automatic transmissions (with torque converter). This is proven by the greater speed of gear shift, the possibility of selecting between manual or automatic mode and no power loss during gear change.
A dual dry clutch also dissipates energy more efficiently, ensuring the highest degree of efficiency in terms of fuel consumption among all automatic transmissions. In addition, the TCT gearbox works together with the Start&Stop system to reduce fuel consumption by up to 10% as compared to a traditional automatic hydraulic transmission with torque converter. Purchasing, servicing and running costs are thus lowered.
