14 January 2009 - Alfa Romeo is honouring the 46-year history and brand loyalty of Registro Italiano Alfa Romeo (R.I.A.R.) by presenting the MiTo RIAR, a concept Alfa Romeo embraced thanks to Andrea Vecchi, a member of both Alfa Romeo marketing and the association. This new car will produced in a limited and exclusive special edition (only 46 numbered pieces, individually manufactured and fitted) reserved for the first 46 RIAR members who will succeed in securing one for themselves.

Alfa Mi.To is Awarded 5 Stars in Euro NCAP Crash Tests
26 November 2008 - The Alfa Romeo MiTo has been awarded a prestigious five-star Euro NCAP rating, setting it at the top of its segment in the field of safety. The ‘sportiest ever compact car' notched up a score of 36 out of 37 in the Euro NCAP adult ratings and a judgement of “Good” (the only car in its segment to obtain 3.35 points of out a maximum of 4) in the new tests that Euro NCAP has introduced to assess the ability of the front seats to prevent whiplash.

Alfa 8C Competizione wins a top Design Award
October 2008 - Alfa Romeo’s awesome Alfa 8C Competizione supercar has scooped the award for Best Design of the Year in Auto Express 2008 New Car Honours. The announcement came after more than 4,000 Auto Express readers voted in the category, putting the Italian 4.7 V8 head and shoulders above its rivals, and the Auto Express judging panel agreed with their verdict.

Alfa Mi.To Makes Final Car of The Year Shortlist
02 October 2008 - Alfa Romeo will again be gunning for European Car of the Year glory with the Mi.To, which ranks among the seven finalists announced today. For Alfa Romeo, a two-time winner of this prestigious award, the process to make it this far has already been rigorous. A total of 37 cars were eligible for the 2009 Car of the Year, of which 30 have dropped by the wayside, including fancied candidates such as the new Audi A4, Jaguar XF and Mazda 6.
